(SPOT.ph) Hong Kong has a lively coffee-shop or cha chaan teng (literally translating to "tea restaurant") culture so we're always excited to have more of these cafés opening in Manila. One of them is Honolulu Café, opening on January 5, Saturday at SM Aura.
Their egg tarts have 192 flaky layers!
Honolulu Café also offers their own coffee blend
First opened in 1940 as Honolulu Ice Parlour, Honolulu Café has over 70 years under its belt and has multiple branches in Singapore, Taiwan, and Malaysia. Their standout item has always been their signature flaky egg tarts, but they also offer Hong Kong-style "stocking" milk tea, pastries, buns, Cantonese-style roast meat, and Hong Kong-style fried noodles. It's an East-meets-West menu that makes the café uniquely Hong Kong. Their cozy ambience, too, might just make it your next new hangout at SM Aura.
Honolulu Café is at G/F SM Aura Premier, Bonifacio Global City.
