(SPOT.ph) After winning the 2018 Miele One To Watch Award, Toyo Eatery is now officially one of Asia's 50 Best Restaurants! They ranked number 43 on Asia's 50 Best Restaurants 2019, as announced in a ceremony held in Macao today, March 26, making them the only Filipino entry on the list.Â
Since they opened in 2016, Toyo Eatery has been known for their innovative takes on Filipino cuisine, which they showcase in tasting menus. A must-try is their Silog, full of punchy flavors, and the beautifully flaky Grilled Belly and Loin of Bangus. Be sure to also drop by their sibling concept, Panaderya Toyo, and try a sourdough pan de sal that's not to be missed.
Awarded the best restaurant in Asia this year is Odette, a French fine-dining restaurant in Singapore by Chef Julien Royer, unseating Thailand's Gaggan after four years.
