Mulberry Door Is Hosting One-of-a-Kind Dinners for a Cause

They're celebrating two years!

(SPOT.ph)  Since they opened in 2017, Mulberry Door by nawwTy's Kitchen, the brainchild of Trish Panlilio, has become a reliable place for excellent "luxe comfort food." To celebrate their second anniversary on May 17, they are hosting artisanal dinners for a good cause in June, August, and October.

Instead of a single celebratory dinner, Panlilio has decided to shine the spotlight not just on her food but also her fellow women entrepreneurs. She has tapped her friends Hindy Weber Tantoco of Holy Carabao and Jenny Yrasuegi of Backyard Farms, both advocates of compassionate and sustainable farming, for three artisanal dinners.

HARVEST, the first dinner on June 17, will use organic produce from Holy Carabao, while FREE, the second dinner in August, will highlight pasture-raised livestock from Backyard Farms. Both will be held at the Mulberry Door restaurant. BREATHE, the third and final dinner in October featuring ingredients from both sources, will be held at the Yuchengco Museum. There will also be a fashion show highlighting select pieces inspired by our heritage and made with local textiles. This in partnership with Jeannie Javelosa of GREAT Women, a global project pushing for the economic empowerment of women.

All menus will be completely new for each dinner and will come straight from nawwTy's Kitchen, Panlilio's curated catering service (and parent project of Mulberry Door). There is no word yet on what exactly each menu will offer but the first will feature fresh selections such as Salad with Pickled Sugar Beets and a Mulberry Dressing, and Pinakbet Paella with Eggplant Chimichurri.
