Anthony Bourdain's Possessions Are Up for an Online Auction

Including a knife specifically made for Bourdain!

( It has been more than a year since Anthony Bourdain has passed away but many still remain heartbroken over his untimely demise. But, an online auction of some of Bourdain's most treasured belongings aims to help keep his legacy alive, not just by passing on his possessions but also through funding a new scholarship at the Culinary Institute of America in his name.

The collection on iGavel Auctions will feature almost 200 objects up for bidding, including several paintings, an early draft for A Bone in the Throat written by Bourdain, a bomber jacket gifted by the U.S. Navy in 2006 during the shooting of Parts Unknown, his custom-made Bob Kramer chef's knife, and more. Sixty-percent of the proceeds will go to Bourdain's family while the rest will be used to fund the Anthony Bourdain Legacy Scholarship at the Culinary Institute of America, a scholarship that supports students of the institute who plan to spend a semester abroad. Aside from the online auction, which will happen from October 9 to 30, the collection will also be exhibited in New York, Savannah, Georgia, and New Braunfels, Texas, according to a report by CNN.
