(SPOT.ph) Sometimes in life, you get lucky enough to stumble across something that changes you. We never thought we’d say that about cookie and mud-pie recipes, but we’re careening towards 2020 and at this point, anything can happen. To be precise, Bake Scout happened.

They call themselves Manila’s "Best Kept Secret"—until now—and they really shouldn’t be. These artisan Belgian Chocolate Cookies (P120/box of four, P230/box of eight, P340/box of 12, P840/box of 30) are chewy and gut-wrenchingly sweet, balanced out with a hefty sprinkling of salt. These are best enjoyed warm, but cold and straight out of the box is more than fine, too.
That Muddy Pie (P220) is out of this world, and we can’t remember the last time we said that about anything. The creamy top with cocoa dust makes it difficult to cut into, but the brownie soufflé, dark chocolate custard, and twice-baked cracker crust make the inevitable destruction worth it.
The potlucks are just around the corner; you’re welcome.
