(SPOT.ph) Some of you might think that the "cheese" part is a typo, but that's where you'd be mistaken. Sure, we appreciate nods to authenticity if and when they happen, but people getting creative, taking risks, and just knowing what goes together is a thing of beauty in itself. For Tokyo Tokyo’s latest dish, the Cheesy Beef Donburi Bowl (P155/a la carte, P195/with iced tea), it’s definitely that last bit.

This bowl combines a few of our favorite things: flavorful beef yakiniku, a spicy cheese sauce, and crispy tempura onion rings on top of steaming, almost-fluffy white rice. With a crown of leeks and black sesame seeds, it’s such a comforting bowl that’s so accessible you might actually start looking for reasons to be sad.
You shouldn’t, though. You can just get it.
