(SPOT.ph) You probably already have a go-to order over at Borough, and that’s totally understandable. But, tonight might be a good time to switch things up a little, because their new cocktails are out to make you feel like a regular Carrie Bradshaw or Samantha Jones. Alternatively, you and a friend could be both—from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., said drinks are two for the price of one.
But on the off chance you can’t make it tonight, we’ll give you the lowdown as owner Patrick Santos makes a few pairing recommendations:

The Wasabi-atch (P280) is a sour kick to the face and is exactly the kind of drink you give that friend who hasn’t left That Guy yet. (You all know him.) Paired with the Asian Pear Shredded Chicken Salad (P360), it borders more on refreshing, riding the same waves as the peanut vinaigrette. On the other hand, the Totes Apricotes (P320) is milder and citrusy—making the same dish feel like a refreshing brunch starter. Pairings matter, people.

The Garden Party (P360) will be a definite favorite among those who love the summer. Its sweetness and touch of elderflower make themselves known under all that good, grassy aroma, which makes it perfect with Borough’s Babaganoush (P160).

And while all of the food pairs well with the O’jito (P360)—it’s so light and refreshing in a way whiskey hasn’t any right to be—it’s hard to ignore the dream team of the Wild Card (P320) and the California Tuna Burger (P490). Together, they’re spicy and herby and salty and tangy and everything you deserve after the absolute year this week has been. (Admit it, sometimes just the Monday-to-Friday stretch feels like forever.)

As much as Borough is, essentially, New York-themed, these new drinks are closer to the Big Apple atmosphere than they’ve ever gotten. You couldn’t do better even with an “I Heart NY” shirt… but you’re welcome to wear one.
