Jollibee’s Doing Mexican Food in Chicago and This Is the Result

You might even be familiar with the chef they've partnered up with!

(SPOT.ph) Known worldwide for their signature fried chicken and Pinoy-style spaghetti, Jollibee’s no stranger to dipping their fingers in several pies—or, in this case, tortas—at once. Back in 2018, it was announced that the homegrown burger chain would be collaborating with award-winning Chicago chef Rick Bayless, whose flair for Mexican food earned him a hit television show called Mexico: One Plate at a Time. Now, they’re unveiling Tortazo at Willis Tower, which just happens to be Chicago’s tallest building. The bright, colorful space reportedly seats 77 and contains a full bar.

This isn’t Jollibee’s first venture in the Windy City—which already has two Jollibee branches as of writing—and it's not their first time working with Bayless. The partnership initially involved a U.S. $12.4 million deal between the chain and Bayless for Tortas Fronteras, another Mexican concept.
