(SPOT.ph) We’ve been seeing a different kind of pancake everywhere lately—the kind that’s unabashedly puffy and airy, not unlike clouds on a plate. Deemed soufflé pancakes, this specific style is especially trendy in Japan but has gone on to gain its own following in the U.S., Australia, and other countries around Asia. Now you can get it closer to home: Pancake House has just come up with their own Soufflé Pancakes (P150), which you can have with bananas, blueberries, or mangoes (P40) only at their Tomas Morato, Bonifacio High Street, Burgos Circle, Magallanes, Rockwell, and Molito branches. Add a mug of Freshly Brewed Coffee (P95) and you’ve got yourself a spell for a leisurely afternoon.

Pancake House has been around the 1974, as a local franchise that specializes in all-day breakfast fare and diner-style food. In particular, they’re known for (you guessed it!) their pancakes, the regular version of which is distinctly light and fluffy and can be had plain or with various toppings. Their Chocolate Chips Pancakes (P199/two pieces, P224/three pieces) are a fan favorite with chocolate chips embedded in every flapjack, while their Cheese Pancakes (P199/two pieces, P224/three pieces) are a one-of-a-kind, savory-sweet variation.
Pancake House has branches at Tomas Morato Avenue corner Scout Bayoran Street, South Triangle, Quezon City and B3, Bonifacio High Street, 7th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City. See a list of Pancake House branches. For more information, check out Pancake House’s Facebook page.
