Try Mudge Salted Caramel cookies (P360/box of six, P730/box of 12). Dark and glossy on the outside, they might look like plain chocolate cookies at first glance—but bite into one and you’ll find an ooey, gooey salted-caramel center. The caramel adds a toasty sweetness and welcome pop of salt, and its chewiness complements the denseness of the cookie base. It’s fudgy at room temperature, but a quick pop in the microwave turns the center even more molten and luscious—perfect with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Mudge is a cookie venture by Lingling de Jesus, who enjoys baking from her own home kitchen and was encouraged by friends to start selling her creations. Aside from the Salted Caramel cookies, she also makes crinkles dubbed the Mudge Black & White (P300/box of six, P600/box of twelve).
