( If you were looking (and able) to stock up on canned goods like tomatoes and chickpeas, you're probably already something of a home cook—or at least you're not completely clueless. If you've got the time (and, let's face it, most of us do), now could be the opportunity to reacquaint yourself with all the possibilities within your kitchen: Enter Quarantine Cooking Show.

Food editor and host Mary Beth Albright shows us just what whole canned tomatoes can do.

The title doesn't beat around the bush but it doesn't make you feel any worse about the situation, either. The Washington Post just launched the first episode, hosted by Mary Beth Albright, the in-house food editor. The recipe is for oven-roasted tomatoes with garlicit's only about three minutes long, and super easy to do. It might even be enough to awaken your long-dormant inner chef.

The Washington Post's YouTube channel is normally full of hard news—but these are not normal times, and normally, we'd be telling you where to get great food, not how to make it. Either way, it's always nice to find new ways to appreciate what you eat...and have more time to do it.
