Jollibee Just Opened Its First Cloud Kitchen in the U.S.

( Are you in the U.S. and have an undeniable Chickenjoy craving? It's now even easier to get your fix, as Jollibee opened its first cloud kitchen—a.k.a. food production and delivery-only hubs, sans any dine-in facility—in Chicago’s River North neighborhood on June 18.

The cloud kitchen is a fully equipped kitchen that exclusively fulfills pickup and delivery orders, which allows them to reach customers in high-density metro areas quickly and more efficiently. Located at 831 N Sedgwick St., Chicago, IL, 60610, the River North Cloud Kitchen adds to their existing Chicago locations in Skokie and on Elston Avenue, and makes Jollibee more accessible to other major metro Chicago neighborhoods, which include River North, Lincoln Park, The Loop, and Chinatown.

"We are very excited for the milestone launch of Jollibee's first-ever cloud kitchen in a prime Chicago location," says Maribeth Dela Cruz, President of Jollibee Foods Corporation North America, Philippine Brands, in a statement. "Thanks to the unique cloud kitchen format of this new location, we are able to adapt to the current difficult environment of the pandemic while still growing our delivery capability and our off-premise business in a key market. Now, metro Chicagoans will be able to experience the joy of our signature offerings from the comfort and safety of their own homes."

Jollibee is a Philippine fast-food chain with more than 240 branches around the world, in countries that include the United States, Canada, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Singapore, Italy, and the United Kingdom.
