(SPOT.ph) Sushi bake is everywhere these days, with versions containing all sorts of seafood and other Japanese-inspired toppings. But if there’s one thing that goes well with its umami profile, it’s a good dose of heat—and this new Spicy Sushi Bake (P800/good for two to three, P1,550/good for four to six) by local purveyor The Sushi Bake offers exactly that.

The Spicy Sushi Bake has a kani-roe filling that starts out savory and slightly sweet, but gradually works in a welcome heat that’s balanced out by the slight tanginess of the rice. Just bake it and scoop it into the included roasted nori sheets, or heck, just enjoy it by itself—it’s a real treat either way!

The Spicy Sushi Bake will be available every Wednesday starting July 1, but you can preorder as early as now. Just send The Sushi Bake a message via Facebook or Instagram. It’s only available for pickup either from their Caloocan, Mandaluyong, or Parañaque pickup points, but you can opt to book your own courier (such as Lalamove) to get it delivered to your doorstep. Not into spicy food? They also offer the Classic Sushi Bake (P700/good for two to three, P1,400/good for four to six), which is also totally tasty in its own right.
For orders, send a message to The Sushi Bake on Facebook or Instagram.
