These Minimalist Cakes Are Frosted With a Creamy Marshmallow Icing
They're by the same folks behind Shoppersville Bakeshoppe!
(SPOT.ph) ICYMI, Korean minimalist cakes have been all the rage lately. While most versions employ buttercream frosting, one bakeshop in particular replaces it with sweet, sticky marshmallow icing that'll remind you of your childhood. You can get these treats from Burnt Sugar, which accepts orders for pickup from their Malingap Central Food Hall location from Thursdays to Sundays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
You can choose between an orange or mocha chiffon cake base: a round nine-inch cake goes for P750, while a round 12-inch cake is P1,000 and a round 14-inch cake is P1,200. Like it chocolatey? You can also get a round nine-inch cake with a chocolate cake base for P1,200. To place your orders, simply send Burnt Sugar a message on Facebook or Instagram.
Burnt Sugar is the reincarnation of Shoppersville Bakeshop, a shop known for its affordable and consistently well-made takes on classic baked goods. Aside from the marshmallow cakes, be sure to leave space for their Taisan Cupcakes (P120/dozen) and Yema Rolls (P370/dozen).
