(SPOT.ph) In the good ol' days, no trip to Boracay was ever complete without a trip to Spicebird—the homegrown establishment known for their flavor-packed piri-piri grilled meats. But the pandemic took place, and—aside from traveling to the island being difficult for us Manila folks—the restaurant has been closed since March. It's been way too long since we've had our fix, and the cravings have been real. But today, we've got some good news: Spicebird will be opening their first (and permanent!) Manila branch at The Grid Food Market in Power Plant Mall on September 16.
Get your appetites ready, as they'll be offering their Piri-Piri Chicken, Pork Belly, and other grilled dishes. Just some of the items you can order are the 1/4 Piri-Piri Chicken Board (P325), Piri-Piri Pork Belly Board (P430), and Piri-Piri Eggplant and Squash Board (P295)—all of which come with spice rice, side salad, veggie chips, a milky roll, and your choice among Spicebird's signature sauces. You can also get the Piri-Piri Pulled Pork Sandwich (P295) and Piri-Piri Falafel Wrap (P295).
Feasting with the family? Get one of their sharing options, like the One Whole Piri-Piri Chicken with Spice Rice (P995) or Piri-Piri Pork Belly Slab Ala Carte (P1,195), both of which come with your choice of two Spicebird sauces. For dessert, don't miss the Double Happiness Sundae (P260) or the Banana Sesame Banana Cream Pie (P195).
Spicebird will also be available for delivery, so you can still get your fix without leaving the house. Just give them a call or visit their website for orders.
