These Malls Have Opened Al-Fresco Dining Areas
The outdoor-dining areas follow social-distancing protocols, sanitation rules.
(SPOT.ph) Most people are (understandably) apprehensive about dining out these days. But what if you're out to get essential items and find your stomach rumbling, or simply miss the experience of dining out and want to do it safely? One alternative is outdoor dining, which is believed to be relatively safer as the wind provides natural ventilation, while allowing restaurants to seat more people than the limited capacity allowed indoors. And it looks like that's what some of Metro Manila's malls have in mind: Ayala Malls has launched The Patio, or al-fresco dining areas that are designed to follow social-distancing protocols and strict sanitation measures.

The Patio follows all the necessary safety protocols, including strict observance of mask-wearing among diners and social-distancing by following the positioned markers in the dining areas. Lingering is discouraged, and Ayala Malls also advises diners to wash or sanitize their hands before eating, and to use the trash cans in areas designated for eating. Curious? You can find The Patio locations at Ayala Malls Circuit Gallery Drive and Circuit Lane Connection, and Alabang Town Center Corte and Corte Expansion.

Additionally, the mall chain has also launched Stop Bite areas, which are extended dining areas in spacious hallways that also follow the aforementioned social-distancing protocols and sanitation measures. You can find Stop Bite locations at Trinoma Food Choices, Ayala Malls Vertis North Levels 2 and 3, Ayala Malls Cloverleaf Level 2, Fairview Terraces Food Choices, U.P. Town Center Activity Center, and Market! Market! Activity Center.

"We make sure that safety is still a priority inside our malls, while giving our customers more time to enjoy their day outside of their homes," shares Ayala Malls President Jennylle Tupaz in a statement. "Inside Ayala Malls, all health protocols are being followed, from the temperature checks and physical distancing practices, to our strict sanitation procedures such as regular cleaning. We want to be able to bring our customers safely to the next normal by giving them these little moments of leisure and respite that they have missed in the past months.”
