(SPOT.ph) Pizza is pretty much everywhere in Manila, to the point that standing out can be a real challenge. But Crosta Pizzeria managed to do just that as they opened their stall at Poblacion's The Social on Ebro food park in 2017, churning out stellar pies that stood out with their crisp-chewy sourdough crust with airy, blistered edges—not to mention star flavor combos that include both classics and more playful takes. Should you be closer to Salcedo Village, you're in for a real treat as the brand has opened a new branch in the area!

Check out the new Salcedo Village outpost of Crosta Pizzeria:

Though the original Social on Ebro stall is temporarily closed ("Until we open up a new concept," Crosta's Ingga Cabangon Chua shares in an exchange with SPOT.ph), the Salcedo branch—located at Liberty Center on the corner of HV Dela Costa and LP Leviste streets—is up to help sate your pizza hankerings. The shop is open from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. for the time being, though they plan to extend the hours "once we get our groove back"—and features stone walls for a slightly industrial feel, matched with quirky pink LED lights on the wall depicting their logo, as well as the saying, "Pizz' out." (Clever!)

Yup, consider this your (literal) sign to "pizz' out."

The Basic Betch (P200)—their stellar take on a classic Margherita pizza—is always a real winner, but it's also well worth trying their Roni Cup (P400) featuring perfectly cupped pepperoni, or one of their square Detroit-style pies like the Detroit Super Super Supreme (P650). On the vegan end of the spectrum, we're huge fans of the Vegan Shroomed Out (P400) that's got cashew-based mozzarella and a fresh shiitake and portobelo mushrooms for earthiness. Should you be unable to head out, you can still order their signature pizzas for delivery, to be dispatched from the Salcedo branch; just visit their Pickup.ph website for orders.

Crosta is best known for their pizzas on their signature sourdough crust—though they've also introduced Detroit-style and square Sicilian variations over the years, and even launched vegan flavors.
