(SPOT.ph) Japanese-style soufflé pancakes exploded in popularity in early 2020, with one of the popular spots for the dish being Gram Café & Pancakes. They pretty much perfected the art of cooking up the breakfast-slash-dessert with their soufflé pancakes that were rightfully tall, fluffy, and basically real scrumptious. Gram's first branch opened in SM Megamall—but if you happen to be closer to Bonifacio Global City it's now a lot easier to get your fix. The pancake spot has opened a second branch in Serendra in BGC, with new must-tries to boot!

The new BGC branch of Gram Pancakes hits all the right #aesthetic spots:
Just like their first branch in Megamall, Gram Café & Pancakes' BGC outpost definitely delivers on the visual front with their interiors designed by Hong Kong-based Amalgamation Design Studio. Around their space you'll find shades of cream, olive, and pine, which come together for a distinct look that's at once lively, yet minimalist and chill as can be. Should the space be free, definitely try and get a seat at one of their couches, which feature a bird cage-esque dome that makes for real snazzy photos for your feed.
Apart from their well-loved soufflé pancakes—the most basic of which is the Premium Pancake (P385) where they're simply served with nama cream, fresh butter, and syrup—Gram also makes A+ takes on regular pancakes, of which the decadent Tiramisu (P395) and creamy-meets-vibrant Mixed Fruit (P385) are must-tries.
But what you'll really want to make room for are the new Chocolate Lava pancakes—which has three layers of soufflé-style pancakes tinged with chocolate, filled with a thick chocolate ganache that oozes out as you stick your fork and knife in.
Also new on Gram's lineup is their line of sando, or Japanese-style sandwiches. Take your pick from fillings and combos like the Tamago & Chicken Karaage (P335) and Pork Katsu & Chicken Karaage (P365), which make for filling snacks or great light lunches. And for a great-anytime bite, the Creme Brulee French Toast (P325) wows with its combo of fresh berries, homemade custard, and caramelized sugar top.
Gram Pancakes is a pancake shop from Japan that opened their Metro Manila doors in 2020. They're best known for their soufflé pancakes and other pancake dishes that are available in sweet and savory variations.
Gram Café & Pancakes' BGC branch is at G/F Serendra, Bonifacio Global City. For more information, check out Gram Pancakes Philippines' Facebook page.
