Taking place on the evening of May 19 at the Top of the Alpha in Makati, this dinner features a four-course meal prepared by Chef Celica Faeldonia from Taste of France—and yup, every dish is paired with topnotch wine curated by Planchenault.

To prepare your palate for what’s to come, guests will be welcomed with three canapés: ​​Salmon Gravlax, Escargot Vol-au-vent, and Chicken Pesto Roulade. Balancing out their burst of flavors is Planchenault’s wine pick: the Clos des Orfeuilles 2019 Muscadet Sèvre et Maine sur Lies.

For the appetizer, the Languedoc Roussillon region’s Frédéric Brouca Champs-Pentus 2020 Faugères will be served with the rich and sweet Pan-Seared Foie Gras With Apple-Onion Marmalade, Raspberry jus, Caramelized Peaches, and Crouton.

The highlight of the night, however, is A Taste of France's signature dish and member-favorite—the savory and crispy Duck Confit paired with Bordeaux's aromatic Grand Vin de Bordeaux Château d'Arcins 2017 Haut-Médoc.

Definitely save room for dessert as you can end the night sweetly with their classic Crêpes Suzette with Grand Marnier Cocktail. And as you take in the flavors of the food and wine, your eyes will also be in for a treat as the restaurant features a panoramic view of Makati.
