(SPOT.ph) Hot pot's appeal is twofold: not only does the meal-slash-cooking method make for a great foil to bonding with friends and family over a communal pot at the center of the table; there's also the undeniable appeal of having various meats, veggies, and other ingredients cooked in a hot, soul-warming broth. China, of course, has no shortage of hot pot spots, but one in particular has especially great recall among locals: Haidilao, a hot spot chain founded in Sichuan with numerous branches around China and the rest of Asia. Soon you won't even have to fly out to get your fix, as the brand is heading to our shores with their first Philippine branch opening in June!

You can soon get your hot pot fix from Chinese chain Haidilao, right here in the Philippines:
Haidilao's arrival in the Philippines was announced by the Department of Trade and Industry, who also shared they'd open more restaurants through the year—and with that, create at least 400 jobs. Yup, definitely something to look forward to! You can also thank the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Hong Kong and Guangzhou for their help in bringing Haidilao to our side of the continent. In a statement, the executives of the resto-chain also shares their intentions of "[fusing] the Filipino taste into its menu, and [integrating] Filipino core values in its service."
Founded in 1994, Haidilao has become a go-to for the hot pot experience they deliver, which lets you choose from different broths (among them versions with chicken, tomato, and ma la), ingredients, and sauces—and levels up the meal with live performances, A+ customer service, provisions that include a hair tie and plastic bags for phones, and more.
