The World's "Biggest Whisky Event" Makes Its Comeback in November

(SPOT.ph) Whisky sure has a way of vibing with us on a deeply personal level. You take a sip and it unfurls a sensation of warmth onto the tongue, all the way down to your chest. Its telltale flavor profile—which is diverse in terms of specifics, but is generally of the brooding sort that's caramel-y, woodsy, oaky, and smoky—also invites you to ponder on life's biggest questions.

Getting into the beverage ain't unlike diving deep into a rabbit hole, what with the varieties and brands of whisky that exist, the fascinating methods and raw materials that go behind crafting them, and of course, the possibilities on how to use them in cocktails or pair them with dishes. Here's your chance to take the plunge: Whisky Live Manila is making its 2022 comeback at Shangri-La the Fort on November 4 and 5—and whether you're a casual drinker or a whisky wiz there's plenty that awaits.

Whisky Live Manila is back and here's what you can expect this year:

Enthusiasts of the drink can look forward to Whisky Live, said to be the "biggest whisky event in the world," as it celebrates all things whisky—from the drink's roots to the culture surrounding it and everything in between. For the 2022 edition in Manila (which happens to be their fifth run in the city!) they'll be bringing in more than a hundred local and international brands of the alcoholic beverage—among them renowned Scottish players Wolfburn (known to craft their whiskies by hand) and Duncan Taylor (known for their vintage and rare whiskies)—that you can browse and have unlimited tastings of.

Also joining the event are 16 International Whisky Masters, including Whisky Master and Keeper of the Quaich Paul Wang—a bigwig in the alcoholic beverage industry—who'll be holding whisky masterclasses and workshops. You can rub elbows with fellow fans and build connections with other industry experts while you're at it. A bartending competition awaits, too.
