At the Oakroom's Chilean Wine Festival, pair best-selling Veramonte wines with Oakroom's signature dishes (Chilean Seabass, Butter-roasted Jumbo Prawn and Miso-glazed Imported Beef Tenderloin, Prime Beef Rib-eye Steak, and Grilled Berkshire Porkchop). The festival runs from May 8 to May 23 at the Oakwood Premier Joy~Nostalg Center Manila.
GO KAISHO features an anime cross-play pageant, otaku exposition, variety show, skills competition and more. From 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on May 8, immerse yourself in all things Japanese at the Philippine Trade Training Center.
At 19 East, True Faith performs on May 7 and Side A performs on May 8. At Saguijo, Mike's Apartment and other bands perform on May 7 and The Camerawall plus more bands perform on May 8. At Mag:net High Street, Oven Toaster performs at Rockeoke on May 10.
Enjoy a dog lovers' day at the Alabang Town Center on May 8. The day starts at 5:30 a.m. with the Pets for Peace Dog Walk at Corte de las Palmas, followed by a paw printing activity. At 4 p.m., join the Dog Talent/Agility and Photo Activity at the Town Plaza.
Instituto Cervantes screens Ocaña, An Intermittent Portrait, a documentary showing the life of homosexual painter José Pérez Ocaña set in '70s Barcelona. Ocaña recounts repression he suffered for being gay, his first sexual experiences and the greatest love of his life. Catch it on May 8, 6 p.m.
Follow two characters go through mismatched patterns of love and hate in French master Alain Resnais' Wild Grass. Mogwai Cinematheque screens the film every day at 9 p.m. until May 8.
Artist Soler puts his brushes aside and presents a series of photographs that features everyday pedestrian scenery and breathes new life to otherwise mundane facades. Soler Photo-graphs runs until May 30 at mo_space.
Eco-inspired Waste not, Want not opens on May 7, 6 p.m. at the Finale Art Gallery. This MM Yu creation is on view until May 30.
