Have an indie movie weekend with a screening of Dagitab and Instant Mommy
Mark your calendars for March 14.
(SPOT.ph) Yes, we know it’s only Monday, but we’re already looking forward to the weekend. If you’re up to catching a movie or two, head to Teatrino at Promenade, Greenhills in San Juan for a screening of two local indie films.
First, catch Giancarlo Abrahan’s Dagitab at 5 p.m. The film revolves around the failing relationship of two married professors, and the woman who is dragged into the middle of a scandal with a student. The man, on the other hand, falls in love with an unlikely...entity. This Cinemalaya X entry bagged the New Breed awards for Best Director, Best Screenplay, and Best Actress (for Eula Valdez).
For a dose of laughs, catch Instant Mommy at 7 p.m. Eugene Domingo stars as Bechayda, a pregnant wardrobe assistant for a TV commercial production. Fearing she may lose her Japanese lover and her dreams of a better life, she hatches a convoluted plan...with hilarious results.
Tickets are at P200 each, which you can buy in advance at the Promenade or Theater Mall. You can also purchase directly at Teatrino on screening day. For more information, call 721-2949 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. or visit Teatrino Film Series’ Facebook page.
