Instagig by Radio Republic and Philippine Red Cross

Where: 19 East, Km. 19 East Service Road, Sucat, Muntinlupa City

Why you should go: The P200 entrance fee for this week's Instagig is all for a good cause! Proceeds of the event go to the victims of super typhoon Yolanda. In-kind donations will also be accepted at the venue. And while you're helping out, you're guaranteed to have good karma and good vibes courtesy of the music of Sandwich, Kjwan, Pedicab, Imago, and more!

IndieGo: A Benefit Gig For The Arts

Where: B - Side at The Collective, 7274 Malugay St., Makati City

Why you should go: The first part of a gig series, IndieGo aims to raise funds to help young Lasallian artists with their school projects. The first leg features Pedicab, Tarsius, and other awesome bands who decided to help out. You can also watch improve performances from the DLSU Harlequin Theater Guild.

Other details: Event starts 8 p.m. P200 door charge, inclusive of a bottle of beer.

Greenlight Music Festival

Where: Greenfield District, Mandaluyong City

Why you should go: This music festival promises to be entertaining with its moving statues, mechanical bull ride, skate ramps, freedom wall and graffiti, and prizes up for grabs. Up Dharma Down, Urbandub, Franco, True Faith, and other artists will also be performing!

Other details: Gates open by 4 p.m. Free admission!

 

Kaleidoscope Eyes Fundraising Gig

Where: Blacksoup Café + Artspace, Unit G 154 Maginhawa St., Sikatuna Village, Quezon City

Why you should go: Kaleidoscope Eyes will be performing acoustic sets with The Cohens, Dale Tudtud and more! There will be no cover charge and donations will be accepted at the venue. A hat will be passed around during the event to raise funds for the areas affected by super typhoon Yolanda.

Universo Robot Live

Where: Palladium Club, Lower Ground Floor New World Makati City Manila Hotel Esperanza Street corner Makati Ave., Makati City

Why you should go: This is your chance to catch Universo Robot and his other robot buddies live! Watch them light up this party at Palladium!

BLOOM Arts Festival

Where: The Collective, 7274 Malugay St., Makati City

Why you should go: Celebrate creativity and get to experience works from more than 100 artists displayed in over eight stores while shopping in the bloom market! Don't forget to watch live art performances, and listen to music from Tarsius, Wilderness, and other bands, or from DJs Caliph8, Major Chi, and more! Why you should go: Enjoy your food while listening to great music! MyCHEF Manila collaborates with five musician chefs to bring you the first food and music festival. There will be food demos, live performances, and food stations to fill your ears and tummy with all things good.

Been to Memphis & Memphis-Bound

Where: The Roadhouse Manila Bay, SM by the bay, Mall of Asia, Pasay City

Why you should go: The Philippine Blues Society has a treat for all the blues fans. Catch the bands that will represent the Philippines in the International Blues Challenge in their back-to-back-to-back gig! Listen to The Bleu Rascals, Kat Magic Express, and The Brat Pack, before they leave for Memphis!

Monday, November 18

Bangon Pilipinas

Where: Autonomy Music Bar and Resto, 431 Maria Clara St. corner  Barangka Drive, Mandaluyong City

Why you should go: Support the cause of these indie bands including Maryzark, Kwaderno, Superunknown, and Aimless, as they team up for this benefit gig to help out those who were devastated by Yolanda.

Benefit Gig for Yolanda Victims

Where: 19 East, Km. 19, East Service Road, Sucat, Muntinlupa City

Why you should go: Sponge Cola, Wolfgang, Soapdish, The Dawn, and Peryodiko will also be playing at 19 East for the benefit of our kababayans affected by Yolanda. Help out by paying the entrance fee of P250 or its equivalent in canned food, water, clothes, candies, or medicines.
