Bach vs. Beatles II: Let It "B"

Where: G/F Ayala Museum, Dela Rosa Street corner Makati Avenue, Legazpi Village, Makati City

Why you should go: After the year-long success of 2015’s Rush Hour concerts and the nationwide tour of Bach vs. Beatles, the Manila Symphony Orchestra will have a repeat of the latter's successful performance—this time with an all new line-up of musical works by these towering geniuses of the 18th and 20th Centuries.

Other details: Gates open at 5:30 p.m. Regular tickets are P700, P500 for senior citizens, and P300 for students.

Elusive Silence: Breaking The Habit

Why you should go: Indie Manila will now be staging a regular gig at Route 196. For their first offering, they lined up MilesExperience, Dearest, Neverdie, Rusty Machines, Paranoid City, and Alfa.

Taking Back Sunday Night

Where: Mow’s Jazz Bar, Kowloon House Basement, 20 Matalino Street, Quezon City

Why you should go: If you’re hung up on Wanderland and you love Taking Back Sunday, you’re going to enjoy the gig at Mow’s on Thursday. Mindless Pop, Grancore, Riflekid, Kidstuff, Yurei, and Lindenwood are playing some of the band’s wicked tunes.

Set Us On Fire: A Spoken Word Show + Poetry Night

Where: Splice Resto Bar, Greenfield District, Mandaluyong City

Why you should go: Ready for another hugot night? There’s going to be a spoken word show and open mic night with Louise Meets, Abby Orbeta, and M Manese. Catch featured guest poets Juan Miguel Severo, Roch Lazarte, and Zuela Herrera perform pieces that will tug at your heartstrings.
