The 58th Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) Awards was held on December 13 at the GSIS Theater in Pasay City, reports PEP.ph. The awards were given to recognize the most outstanding movies and performances by actors in 2009.
According to the report, winners include Lovi Poe for Best Actress (Sagrada Familia), Allen Dizon for Best Actor (Dukot), Gloria Diaz for Best Supporting Actress (Sagrada Familia), Emilio Garcia for Best Supporting Actor (Sagrada Familia), and Joel Lamangan for Best Director (Dukot). Lamangan’s Dukot also won Best Editing, Best Cinematography, Best Art Direction, and Best Picture.
Also spotted at the event were Andi Eigenmann, Matteo Guidicelli, Barbie Forteza, Joshua Dionisio, Bea Binene, and Jhake Vargas who all received the Germano Moreno Youth Achievement Award along with Enchong Dee and Erich Gonzales. Showbiz veteran German Moreno was also given the Arturo M. Padua Memorial Award.
