Spot-Q at PMAP’s 25th Reunion Party: Everything 25
Tweetie de Leon-Gonzales, Ornussa Cadness, Phoemela Baranda, and other models gamely answer our questions.
(SPOT.ph) Beautiful people have rights, too, and back in 1987, it took a brave pack of models to fight for them.
In a then-largely unregulated industry, a group of models-Tina Maristela-Ocampo, Ronnie Asuncion, and Robert David-decided to form an association that would standardize practices and professionalize their line of work; a union of models, so to speak. Through the years, PMAP’s advocacies have already become SOP all across the fashion and beauty industry, and a list of their members and officers reads like a power pack of the most beautiful faces in the metro: Apples Aberin, Rissa Mananquil-Trillo, Tweetie de Leon-Gonzales, Phoemela Baranda.
To celebrate 25 years of protecting, promoting, and developing models, the Professional Models Association of the Philippines held a reunion-slash-party-slash-runway show at the Marriott Hotel in Resorts World on November 5. We were on hand to crash the shindig to ask models and guests of the PMAP random questions based on the number 25!
