On the Spot: Kathryn Bernardo on her new book, her cheat food + more
Guess who's missing from her list of celeb crushes.
(SPOT.ph) The first time Kathryn Bernardo hears "SPOT.ph," she immediately lights up. "Nagbabasa ako ng SPOT.ph," she declares excitedly. "'Yong mga Top 10 Nail Salons, mga spas..." It's a small reminder that the child star who grew up in the public eye is now a 20-year-old adult who enjoys some much-needed pampering every now and then. Still, the Teen Queen is as young and bubbly as ever: She gamely talks about learning how to drive and (finally) being allowed to travel with friends.
She's come a long way from her early days in Goin' Bulilit. These days, she has plenty of successful telenovelas and films under her belt, coupled with endorsements and magazine covers. The latest notch under her belt is her very own book, Everyday Kath, which compiles 365 no-fail beauty tricks, life lessons, and fun anecdotes so her young fans can channel their inner teen queens, too.
We chatted with Kathryn about her new book, her recent birthday celebration, and even her very own Top 3 lists.

First of all, happy birthday!
It was kind of private, and [it was my] first time to celebrate with friends lang. Iba 'yong celebration ko with family. [laughs]
As part of turning 20, you mentioned that you consider your new book as your gift to your fans...
Yeah, it's really my gift for my fans. We've been working on this for more than a year. Pinaghirapan 'to ng buong Summit [Books] team, so sana magustuhan nila.
What was your favorite part of the whole process?
'Yong nag-shoot kami sa ranch. 'Yong iba kasi naming shoot, [puro] indoor lang and anything outdoor, hindi makayanan ng schedule. So when we were at the ranch, may makikitang spot si Shaira [Luna], sasabihin niya, "Eto, shoot ka diyan!" It was so fast, nagpapalit ako sa mga kubo...hinahabol namin 'yong sun. So naging memorable talaga 'yong book na 'to.
And the toughest?
The hardest part was [coming up with] the content.
Here at SPOT.ph, we do a lot of Top 10 lists. So we're going to ask you to give us your own Top 3 lists...
