(SPOT.ph) Looks like over 22 million people across Asia have signed up to hopefully get tickets to the six The Eras Tour shows in Singapore. That’s almost twice the demand compared to the 14 million registrants in the United States for its 53 The Eras Tour shows.

If you’re one of the lucky ones who managed to receive an access code from the fan registration from June 23 to June 28, congratulations! Many have already been weeded out in this first step. However, do note that having an access code will not guarantee a ticket for the actual general sale.

The National Stadium has a maximum capacity of 55,000 people, so that would make around 330,000 tickets up for grabs. That gives each of the 22 million registrants a 0.015% chance of securing a ticket. You’ll need all the help you can get. We turn to AEG Presents Asia for some tips to secure these highly coveted tickets. They’re the live entertainment company that brought Singapore The Eras Tour, after all.

AEG Presents Asia tips for securing general sale tickets to Taylor Swift Eras Tour in Singapore

We cannot reiterate this enough: The general sale will start on Friday, July 7 at 12 p.m. in Philippine time. Set an alarm or two for this. If you’ve ever participated in online ticket selling at SM Tickets, then Ticketmaster Singapore’s processes should come easy to you.

Successfully registered fans should have received an access code or have been informed to be on the waitlist by today, July 5. Only fans with an access code will be able to participate in the general sale. Check your inbox, junk, or spam folders for this email.

Inside this email should be a Ticketmaster link to where the general sale will take place at 12 p.m. You will be assigned a random place in queue, alongside everyone else who also arrives before the sale commences. That said, at least there's no need to wait on the link for hours on Friday.

“The time you join the Waiting Room prior to the event going on sale does not determine your place in the Smart Queue,” AEG Presents Asia wrote in a tweet.

Once inside the actual queuing system, do not refresh the browser as this will push you to the end of the line. It’s also important to wait, stay, and purchase tickets within one browser window. Opening multiple windows or tabs to hold several queues may result in errors.

You can only buy a maximum of four tickets per access code. Make sure you have a valid debit/credit card information for a faster checkout.

Fans without access codes might be tempted to cheat the system via a bypass link (a direct link to the ticketing site that skips the queue), but this is highly discouraged. Anyone who uses a bypass link to purchase tickets can be detected by Ticketmaster Singapore as per a source who confirmed with Ticketmaster Singapore. It’s not worth the effort and risk.

What happens to fans who are put on waitlist?

Those who are on the waitlist (as indicated by Ticketmaster Singapore's sent emails) can still receive an invite to join the general sale if more tickets become available, so hold on to hope and regularly check your emails for this!

If the odds are in your favor, you will be given the opportunity to purchase tickets at a later date.

Other reminders

According to Ticketmaster Singapore, tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis until inventory lasts. Do note that the system will only give the best seats out of your chosen section, so you’re not able to choose specific seats that you want.

Ticketmaster Singapore’s booking fees are still exclusive from The Eras Tour ticket pricing. Booking fees are as follows:

  • SG $6 booking fee (around P250) for each ticket priced between $1 and $300
  • SG $10 booking fee (around P410) for each ticket priced between $301 and $500
  • SG $20 booking fee (around P820) for each ticket priced above $500

There is no refund, exchange, upgrade, or cancellation once tickets are sold.
