LOOK: Drag Race Philippines Gives Its Werkroom a "Sickening" Makeover

(SPOT.ph) The upcoming season of Drag Race Philippines is slated to premiere in two weeks—and what better way to get us excited than a new and improved Werkroom?

The Werkroom is where contestants prepare for main challenges and runway presentations like creating looks, applying wigs, and putting on make-up. Season 1’s Werkroom was much smaller in comparison, with many Twitter users criticizing it for being “too cramped” and “claustrophobia-inducing” for all of the contestants to stay in.

We're happy to report that Drag Race Philippines has listened to its viewers' clamors for a better communal space in Season 2.

New Werkroom for Drag Race Philippines Season 2

Season 2’s Werkroom kept many of the same design elements from Season 1. Rattan weaving patterns remain on the wall, as well as the drapes that hang on the Werkroom's entrance in the colors of the Philippine flag.

Everything is bigger and brighter this time around. Here's a "sickening" first look from Drag Race Philippines:

“Now that’s what I call budget!” drag enthusiast Hiro Evangelista commented on Instagram. “Can we please reshoot season 1 with this Werkroom? This is such a huge glow up!”

“This looks much better. Now if only lighting, sound and editing improve, PH can be on par with the other franchise in terms of production,” digital creator Franc Filamor commented on the same post.

Some Instagram users have also spotted the Anastasia Beverly Hills logo on the Werkroom’s shelves, which could indicate that the international brand is Drag Race Philippines’ cosmetics partner for Season 2.

This is also the first Filipino season to feature transgender women and queens from the Southwestern Tagalog Region, Central Visayas, and Northern Mindanao. Meanwhile, Paolo Ballesteros will return as host, with Jiggly Caliente, KaladKaren, and Rajo Laurel as judges.
