(SPOT.ph) It’s been a long time coming, but The Eras Tour is finally arriving on our shores this Friday in the form of the big screen (or an even bigger screen, if you’re watching it on IMAX).
It's almost a full-month craze for Swifties as The Eras Tour shows in Philippine cinemas every Thursday to Sunday starting from October 13 to November 5. This begs the question: Do we treat this experience more like a movie or a concert? Both have a wildly different set of rules and etiquettes, so it’s only natural for Filipinos Swifties to want some guidance on this.
SM Cinemas and Ayala Malls Cinemas have since released cinema rules to follow for this once-in-a-lifetime event, which we did the pleasure of compiling below.

SM and Ayala Malls release cinema etiquettes for The Eras Tour
Here are the movie etiquettes to keep in mind according to SM Cinemas and Ayala Malls Cinemas, starting with the Don'ts so no one gets in trouble.
Don'ts
Taking pictures and videos of The Eras Tour is strictly prohibited. As Ayala Mall Cinemas put it, “Don’t be a film crew and just enjoy the show.” Trying to sneak a recording in has some serious legal repercussions. Besides, this concert film is likely hitting streaming platforms in a few months' time anyway.
Outside food is not allowed, but snacks and beverages can be purchased at SM and Ayala Mall Cinemas.
Do's
Singing, standing, and dancing are allowed inside the cinema as long as you’re not blocking someone else’s view. If those in front stay seated, then it looks like so will you for the entire watch. We don't make the rules.
Wearing Eras-inspired outfits is more than welcome—the same goes for friendship bracelets! Light sticks and batons are also allowed for that additional concert feel.
Turn off or set mobile phones to silent mode as one would in a movie theater.
Keep in mind that The Eras Tour is rated PG by the MTRCB, which means moviegoers (or concertgoers?) below 13 years old will have to be accompanied by an adult. That said, Ayala Malls Cinemas is requiring a valid ID to show proof of age before entry.
Suddenly can’t make it to your screening at Ayala Malls Cinemas? Make sure to cancel at least three hours before the movie schedule. Swifties who paid using GCash or credit card will not be issued a refund if the cancellation is too close to show time.
