Concerts to Watch in September 2024

(SPOT.ph) The first month of the -ber months is upon us, bringing along live performances from Western stars and K-Pop acts. From fan concerts and dance-filled performances to intimate shows and LSS-inducing live renditions of classic songs, your favorite artists are coming over to take your go-to tracks from playlist staple to unforgettable concert memory. D.O.

When: August 31 & September 1
Where: Smart Araneta Coliseum

EXO member D.O. or Kyung-soo was so in demand, he had to add another night for his BLOOM fan concert tour. Our fingers are crossed you got those tickets, EXO-Ls! Prepare for a night of performances, special segments, and interactions with the idol-actor. The second night will still be at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Laufey

When: September 2
Where: SM Mall of Asia Arena

Singer, composer, and producer Laufey is stopping by for a night of magic and wonder at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. Treat yourself to a live performance of "From The Start," "Falling Behind," "Let You Break My Heart Again" and more of her jazzy, dreamy hits. We're advocates of wearing comfy clothes to a concert, but Laufey's vibe and aesthetic has us dreaming of dressier, more elegant OOTDs. If you've been meaning to wear that nice dress out, this is the time!

Newjeans

When: September 5
Where: SM Mall of Asia Arena

Oh don't you know how sweet it tastes to know that Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein are coming over to Manila in September? The Newjeans concert is through Coca-Cola, so you won't be able to buy tickets online or over the counter like most other shows. You'll have to purchase Coca-Cola products online for a chance to win tickets to watch the girls perform their hits "Attention," "Hype Boy," "ASAP," and more live.

Bruno Major

When: September 7 & 11
Where: PICC Plenary Hall

British singer-songwriter and guitarist Bruno major is stopping by Manila to serenade Filipino fans for not one but two nights at the PICC Plenary Hall. The September 7 show is sold out, but you can still nab tickets for the September 11 concert. "Nothing" has been a favorite since its release, but "The Most Beautiful Thing" and "Regent Park" from his 2020 album To Let A Good Thing Die are equally good. His 2017 album A Song For Every Moon also houses one of our fave tracks, "Easily."

David Archuleta

When: September 14
Where: New Frontier Theater

It's pretty hard to believe that David Archuleta's "Crush" is already 16 years old (it was released in 2008!) because we know you can still sing along to every word on command like the song was released just yesterday. The American Idol alum is coming back to Manila to treat Filipino fans to his greatest hits. We're also counting on "A Little Too Not Over You" and "Touch My Hand" to serve some major nostalgia.

Red Velvet

When: September 14
Where: SM Mall of Asia Arena

Reveluvs, it's your time to shine because Red Velvet is coming back to Manila as a full group this time! It's your chance to see "Bad Boy," "Psycho," and "Red Flavor" live, along with their newer comeback songs "Feel My Rhythm" and "Cosmic." But if you asked us, we're really pumped for Irene, Wendy, Seulgi, Joy, and Yeri's solo performances!

F.T. Island

When: September 14
Where: SM City North EDSA Skydome

It's a blast from the past as South Korean rock band head to Manila for a one-night-only show. Lee Jae-jin, Choi Min-hwan, and Lee Hong-gi are ready to serve you "Burn It," "Severely," and "Serious" live onstage. Also is it just us? We can't believe the band debuted in 2007 and they're still around to move us with their music, 17 years later.

The Maine

When: September 27 and 28
Where: SM City North EDSA Skydome

The year is 2014. You're in love with The Maine, they have a concert in Manila, and all you've got are a prayer and a dream. We're hoping adult money can help you heal your inner child when you finally hear The Maine songs live from several eras of the band's discography for their Sweet Sixteen Tour. They're performing here for not one, but two nights and no two setlists are ever alike, so if you get tickets for both shows, we totally get it.

Anne-Marie

When: September 28
Where: The Podium Hall

We dare you not to sing along to Anne-Marie's "2002." You're likely to fail, but there are no sore losers when it comes to hit songs on repeat. The English singer and songwriter is performing at the Podium Hall next month and we know both fans and casual listeners are raring to sing along to her pop hits "Baby Don't Hurt Me" and "FRIENDS." We know she might not sing it at her solo show, but we just wanted to let you know Anne-Marie also sang "Rewrite The Stars" with James Arthur in a reimagination of the songs from The Greatest Showman soundtrack.
