10 Intriguing Telenovelas We Can't Wait to Watch

(SPOT.ph) We’re almost halfway through the year, and we’ve already seen an interesting lineup of Pinoy dramas on our TVs. Some shows bid us goodbye, while others are just getting started. Whether it’s because of the stellar cast or the intriguing premise, we couldn’t help but be curious about these 10 other telenovelas. Here's a sneak peak of what we can likely expect on our TV screens, this year or the next.
Pasion de Amor (ABS-CBN)
Cast: Jake Cuenca, Joseph Marco, Ellen Adarna, Coleen Garcia
Helmed by Eric Quizon, this steamy series tells the story of three brothers who set out to avenge the death of their sister. How? By making the daughters of the man they deem responsible for their sister's death fall in love with them. The show is an adaptation of the Colombian telenovela, Pasion de Gavilanes. On the Wings of Love (ABS-CBN)
Cast: James Reid, Nadine Lustre
The popular JaDine love team will be making their teleserye debut in On the Wings of Love. Partly set in San Francisco, the show tells the story of two Filipino workers who must marry in order to stay in the United States. The show is directed by Antoinette Jadaone (That Thing Called Tadhana, You're My Boss) and also stars Cherry Pie Picache and Joel Torre.
Beautiful Strangers (GMA 7)
Cast: Rocco Nacino, Heart Evangelista, Lovi Poe
Heart Evangelista is set to return to the small screen, this time with real-life couple Rocco Nacino and Lovi Poe. Plot details are still scarce, but we do know that it will be a dramatic love triangle that will eventually involve the brother of Heart's character (played by Benjamin Alves). The show also stars Christopher de Leon and Dina Bonnevie.

Someone to Watch Over Me (ABS-CBN)
Cast: Richard Yap, Judy Ann Santos
Think of this show as a mix of action, comedy, and romance. Judy Ann Santos will portray an NBI agent who meets a business tycoon (Richard Yap) while on the job. The light-hearted series will star Diether Ocampo (who is also making a showbiz comeback), Eddie Garcia, and Tirso Cruz III.
Blood in Dispute (GMA 7)
Cast: Mikael Daez, Andrea Torres
This miniseries is co-produced by GMA Network and the Cambodian Television Network. The international project is rumored to have a love triangle, and will be helmed by a Cambodian director. The series will only run for a week. Mikael and Andrea have previously worked together in two telenovelas.
Family Secrets (GMA 7)
Cast: Christian Bautista, Gwen Zamora
Christian Bautista and Gwen Zamora are teaming up for the first time in this upcoming drama about how secrets and ambition can destroy relationships. They will be joined by Lotlot de Leon, Kim Rodriguez, and Meryll Soriano.

And I Love You So (ABS-CBN)
Cast: Inigo Pascual, Julia Barretto
Inigo Pascual will be making his soap opera debut alongside his love team, Julia Barretto, and Miles Ocampo. The series, directed by Don Cuaresma, is said to be a "drama with wit" and revolves around family, friendship, love, and betrayal. Watch for other famous faces like Angel Aquino and Jay Manalo.
Ang Probinsyano (ABS-CBN)
Cast: Coco Martin, Bela Padilla, Susan Roces, Jaime Fabregas
Fernando Poe Jr.'s iconic film Ang Probinsyano is being converted to a TV show and will star Coco Martin as a cop who assumes the identity of his twin brother after he (the twin) dies in a drug operation. All of Me (ABS-CBN)
Cast: JM de Guzman, Albert Martinez, Arron Villaflor
We admittedly don't know much about All of Me just yet, mainly because they've recently started shooting. We do know, however, that the drama series is JM de Guzman's project following his memorable Tadhana role. His last TV role was Angelito in 2012.
