(SPOT.ph) After weeks of speculation, we finally know who will be topbilling the second remake of the Mexican telenovela, Marimar.

GMA Network officially announced that Megan Young will take on the iconic role popularized by Thalia and previously portrayed by Marian Rivera. Her Sergio? None other than Tom Rodriguez, of My Husband's Lover fame.
There's still no word on who else will star in the show (we're looking forward to Angelica Santibanez), but we do know that they will have a different take on the series. Might we suggest one of our plot twists? We're kind of leaning towards Marimar being a mermaid.
The show will reportedly air in the latter half of 2015.
