The trailer for Piolo Pascual's Cinemalaya movie will give you the creeps
It also stars Rhian Ramos, and it's the festival's closing film.
(SPOT.ph) Pinoy love teams are usually tried-and-tested, but there are some unlikely pairings that end up working really well together. Take, for instance, Piolo Pascual and Rhian Ramos who star in Silong, this year's closing film for Cinemalaya.
Piolo pays Miguel, a doctor mourning the loss of his pregnant wife in an accident. As he drives home one day, he finds a badly beaten woman (played by Rhian) on a deserted road. He takes her home and nurses her back to health. However, there's more to this mysterious woman than meets the eye.
The romance-thriller is directed by Jeffrey Hidalgo and Roy Sevilla Ho, with the screenplay written by the latter.
Rhian currently stars in GMA Network's LGBT drama The Rich Man's Daughter, while Piolo is set to star in an upcoming Lav Diaz film alongside John Lloyd Cruz.
Silong will be screened on August 14 (Friday) at 9 p.m. in the CCP Main Theater.
