A giant, inflatable Minion terrorizes drivers in Dublin
Now people literally can't escape them.

(SPOT.ph) If it feels like Minions are taking over the world, that's because...well, they kind of are. They're everywhere, whether they're Twinkies, flip flops or even bizarre sexy costumes. Now, they've terrorized a busy street in Dublin—or more accurately, they flew into traffic.

A 30- to 40-foot inflatable Minion came loose from its restraints in a nearby fair and blew into oncoming traffic. Fortunately, no one was hurt except the Minion, who had to be deflated by local police.
It's a completely different scenario from what we usually experience in Manila, where accidents, endless road work, and those PUV drivers are to blame for our traffic woes. (We just can't imagine saying, "I'm late because a giant Minion blocked the road" with a straight face.)
City councilor Paul McAuliffe, however, didn't think it was a laughing matter. "I don’t want to sound like a killjoy, but if that had landed on a cyclist, for instance, it could have been serious," he told The Irish Times. He also called it a "despicable breach of health and safety." Ha, Despicable Me puns.
