(SPOT.ph) We're often used to seeing Enrique Gil as a romantic leading man, particularly to his love team partner, Liza Soberano. Well, it looks like fans will get to see a new side to their favorite young actor next month in a new indie film called Dukot.
Directed by Paul Soriano, the action-drama revolves around Gil's character, Carlo, whose father (played by Ricky Davao) is involved in some shady business dealings.
After the said deal presumably goes south, they attempt to kidnap Carlo's sister (played by Shaina Magdayao), but he pleads to take her place instead.
Christopher de Leon and real-life brothers Alex and Ping Medina play the kidnappers in the story. The film also stars Bing Pimentel, Bangs Garcia, and Dino Pastrano.
Excited? Dukot is slated to hit theaters on July 13.
