Indie fans, Sakaling Hindi Makarating opens nationwide on February 1
Here's your chance to see the film in all its heartbreaking glory.
(SPOT.ph) It's safe to say that 2016 was a good year for local independent cinema. Not only did they win international accolades and make their way to the MMFF, but they also brought troves of new indie lovers to theaters.
One of the buzziest indie films from 2016 was Sakaling Hindi Makarating, an entry in the CineFilipino Film Festival. Whether it was your 2017 pledge to see more indie films or you just couldn't fit its earlier screenings into your schedule, the movie is finally headed nationwide on February 1. (Just in time for the love month too, if you want to cry about that.)
Directed by Ice Idanan, the story centers on Cielo (Alessandra de Rossi), whose life falls apart after her long-time boyfriend abruptly breaks their engagement. When she begins to receive a series of anonymous postcards from around the country, she sets off on a valuable journey of self-discovery to find the sender.
