'90s kids, the new Power Rangers movie hits PH cinemas this March
We feel like kids again!
(SPOT.ph) The catchphrase "Go, go Power Rangers" is pretty much synonymous to the childhood of many '90s kids. Chances are, you've probably even fought with your siblings or friends over which Ranger you want to be.
Capitalizing on the trendy '90s nostalgia is Lionsgate, who recently rebooted the beloved teen sci-fi franchise. Their version revolves around five ordinary teenagers who must use their powers to save the world from an alien threat.
Directed by Dean Israelite, the film recruits relatively unknown but diverse actors to play the five Rangers—who also have their own teen angst and issues to worry about. Its adult cast, however, includes familiar faces such as Bryan Cranston as Zordon, Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa, and Bill Hader as Alpha 5.
The film is slated for release in cinemas nationwide on March 22, two days before its premiere in the U.S.
