This promising indie rom-com is finally getting a Philippine premiere this May
Head to UP Cine Adarna with your movie buddies!
(SPOT.ph) Here at SPOT.ph, we're always up for indie rom-coms that effortlessly make the audience laugh, swoon, and fall in love. We especially enjoy ones that add a new or very Pinoy twist to the usual rom-com tropes we've come to know.
One example is this new indie film from Sigrid Andrea Bernardo (2014's Ang Huling Cha-Cha Ni Anita and 2016's Lorna). It stars Alessandra de Rossi and Empoy Marquez as an unlikely couple flirting and having pretty adorable banter over bowls of ramen. (There's a plot twist but we'll let you watch the trailer to find out.)
Fortunately, you don't have to wait very long to see it in theaters. UP Cine Adarna will be hosting its Philippine premiere on May 12 at 8:30 p.m. The cast and crew will also be there for a Q&A session after the screening. Tickets are priced at P180 for regular audiences and P150 for students.
Kita Kita was one of three Filipino movies that competed at this year's Osaka Film Festival in March.
