This Free Chrome Extension Will Help You Avoid Game of Thrones Spoilers
Consider this your helpful PSA!
(SPOT.ph) Ahh, the unique struggle of being a Game of Thrones fan. By now, you already know that new episodes air every Monday morning—and unless you're #blessed with a work-from-home situation—you won't get to see what happens until much later.
By then, your Facebook feed (which, let's face it, is unavoidable in this day and age) will be filled with posts and in-depth articles about what went down. And even though technology is the bane of your spoiler-free existence, it has also given rise to nifty apps like GameofSpoils.
How the plugin will look on Facebook
It even works on web pages like The AV Club
Even Google News is safe
True to its name, this Chrome Extension is a browser plugin that detects and blocks out any social media post that mentions Game of Thrones or its many related terms like "Targaryen" and "Winterfell." The extension literally blacks out entire headlines and photos on Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, and Google News. (You can still click the blacked-out area if you dare.)
In its latest version, you can even opt to automatically hide spoilers instead of just blacking them out. You can also add your own custom phrases to block.
