Jennylyn Mercado and Derek Ramsay to Reunite for MMFF 2017 Movie
Jericho Rosales is out.
(SPOT.ph) In the 2014 iteration of the Metro Manila Film Festival, director Dan Villegas' rom-com English Only, Please surprised both critics and audiences alike. The film didn't just win at the box-office; it also added a pleasant twist to the genre and cemented actress' Jennylyn Mercado's ability to be paired with anyone.
Now, Villegas is reuniting Mercado and her then-leading man, Derek Ramsay, for his new MMFF 2017 entry, Almost Is Not Enough.
Plot details are still scarce as of writing, but we do know that Ramsay replaced Jericho Rosales (who previously starred in another MMFF entry with Mercado, Walang Forever). According to the production company, Quantum Films. Rosales dropped out due to a scheduled shoot in the U.S.
He is slated to star in a Paul Soriano-helmed film, Siargao, which also features Erich Gonzales and Jasmine Curtis-Smith. It is still unclear, however, if this movie will be submitted to the MMFF this year as a finished film.
