You Can Watch Cinemalaya 2017's Best Film for Only P150 This Month
You might even meet the people behind the movie!
(SPOT.ph) There never seems to be enough time to catch all the films showing at film festivals. We’re lucky enough that Respeto, the winner of Cinemalaya’s Best Film award this year, will be released nationwide on September 20. But now you can see it before the official release date—and for much less, too!
The film, directed by Treb Monteras II, will be showing at the UP Film Center on September 19 at 7 p.m. You'll also get a chance to chat with the cast and crew who will be there for the screening. Admission is at P150 and the ticket booth opens one hour before the show starts, so it’s best to get there early.
Respeto follows the story of Hendrix, played by rapper Abra, who gets caught in a life of crime while struggling to fulfill his dreams of being a hip-hop star. He becomes good friends with Doc (Dido de la Paz), an old poet coming to terms with his experience during the Martial Law era.
