WATCH: The First Trailer of Aga Muhlach's Comeback Movie Is Finally Here
Plot twist: It's not a romance movie!
(SPOT.ph) Folks of the '80s and '90s have long been eager for a comeback movie from Aga Muhlach, who was last seen in the 2012 rom-com, Of All Things. They've been especially vocal about a reunion movie with arguably his most popular leading lady, Lea Salonga.
Â
Now, the actor is officially returning to the big screen, but don't get too excited: it's not going to be a romance movie. Titled Seven Sundays, the dramedy stars Ronaldo Valdez, a father longing for the attention of his busy children (Muhlach, Dingdong Dantes, Cristine Reyes, and Enrique Gil).
Â
Â
When he announces that he's dying, his children promise to dedicate spending their Sundays with him—resulting in what will likely be plenty of hilarious and tear-jerking moments. The film is helmed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, with an expected release date this October.
Â
As for that long-awaited reunion with Salonga, Muhlach told ABS-CBN that he's open to working with her and Sharon Cuneta.
