WATCH: Andrew Garfield's New Tear-Jerking Movie Hits PH Cinemas This Month
Ready your tissues for this one.
(SPOT.ph) Pinoys love a good melodrama and let's be honest: sometimes, you just want a break from all the superhero movies that are constantly filling the box-office. If you're in the mood for a good, satisfying cry, look no further than Breathe, a new drama that's slated to hit cinemas this month.
Starring Andrew Garfield (The Social Network, The Amazing Spider-Man) and Claire Foy (Netflix's The Crown), Breathe is set in the '50s at the height of the polio outbreak. Garfield portrays the real-life Robin Cavendish, who, in the prime of his life, is paralyzed from the neck down due to polio. Years later, he becomes a pioneering advocate for the disabled.
Helmed by first-time director Andy Serkis (who previously starred in the Planet of the Apes and Lord of the Rings franchises), the film opens in local theaters November 22.
