Paul Soriano's New Film Starring Toni and Alex Gonzaga Is Set to Be Released This Year
It's the dream project!
(SPOT.ph) After winning Best Director at the 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival for his movie Siargao, Paul Soriano is now reportedly set to helm a film starring his wife, Toni Gonzaga, and sister-in-law Alex Gonzaga. Alex teased the project with a photo of her and her sister that she posted on Instagram with the caption, “The dream project.” The photo was taken outside the office of Soriano’s production company, Ten17P.
In a report by ABS-CBN, Soriano explains that he doesn’t want to direct the film because directing his wife might be a cause of conflict. So, he'll be writing and producing it instead. "Parang I feel if I'm the director, baka 'yong personal ay pupunta sa set, hindi ba?" Though there's no definite plot yet, he also reveals a few details about the film, saying that it's going to be a family movie. "[It's a] sisters concept, pang-pamilya, of course within the brand of Toni and Alex Gonzaga."
The movie is already in the works, with a photo of their brainstorming session on Ten17P's Instagram page. They revealed that the movie is set to be released this year. "Looking forward to our Sisters project this 2018," the caption says, along with the hashtag, #sistersmovie.
