WATCH: Carlo Aquino's Cool New Indie Movie Takes You Back in Time
And it's screening this month!
(SPOT.ph) If you were given a chance to talk to your younger self, what would you say? This is what Carlo Aquino answers in his indie film with Empress Schuck called Throwback Today. The movie premiered at the Cinema One Originals Film Festival in 2017, but here's the good news: You still have a chance to catch this flick tomorrow, April 20, when it screens in select SM Cinemas.
Directed by Joseph Teoxon, the film follows the story of Primo (Carlo Aquino), a once-promising design student who's now in his early 30s. He isn't exactly what you would call a success story. Due to a technical glitch in his computer, he discovers that he's able to chat with his 20-something self—forcing him to relive the past 10 years and the various mistakes he made. (A little like how he's reportedly rekindling the old flame with his ex Angelica Panganiban on the set of their upcoming movie? *wink*)
The movie also stars Kat Galang, Benj Manalo, and Alan Paule. It will be screening at the following cinemas starting tomorrow, April 20: SM City Bacoor, SM City Fairview, SM Mall of Asia, SM City Manila, SM Megamall, SM City North Edsa, SM Southmall, and SM City Sta. Mesa.
