(SPOT.ph) One of the reasons why Pinoys fell in love with the K-Drama Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo—aside from the "swag" and all the eating—was because of Nam Joo Hyuk a.k.a. Jung Joon Hyung. Joo Hyuk thrilled fans when it was announced that he'll be coming to the Philippines in 2017. And fans were excited once again when Penshoppe revealed in May that Joo Hyuk will be coming back to Manila along with Sandara Park for a fan meet at the Mall of Asia Arena on July 29. The event, which happened over the weekend, was streamed live on Penshoppe's official Facebook page—so even if you weren't able to get tickets, you could still watch all the exciting things going down.
From live performances to fashion shows and interviews, a lot of fun things happened during the highly anticipated fan meet. One of the highlights of the event was a segment where Joo Hyuk reenacts a scene from Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo with two lucky fans. In the scene, Kim Bok Joo (Lee Sung Kyung) gets mad at Joon Hyung, who then tells her to hit him instead.
The segment starts at around the 45:00-minute mark of the live video and you can see Joo Hyuk laughing before the first contestant starts the scene. Joo Hyuk goes all out reenacting his part—chasing down the fan who tries to ignore him (but ultimately fails because of excitement). He switches things up with the second contestant, with whom he pleads by doing finger hearts before hugging her (kilig!). He was then asked how it felt acting with the two fans, and he says he liked the moments he spent with the two contestants. It's pretty hard living up to Sung Kyung's acting chops, but it looks like Joo Hyuk didn't mind having new co-stars even just for a few minutes.
