You Can Still Watch 2018 Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino Movies for Only P200
Including Ang Babaeng Allergic sa Wi-Fi and We Will Not Die Tonight.
(SPOT.ph) For one week—that's August 15 to 21—cinemas nationwide exclusively screened the eight film entries of the 2018 Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino. But one week may not have been enough for movie buffs to get their fix of quality Pinoy films. It's great news then, that you can still catch three of the entries—namely Ang Babaeng Allergic sa Wi-Fi, We Will Not Die Tonight, and Bakwit Boys—at Cinema '76 Anonas until August 28. You don't have to spend a lot to catch the flicks, either, because tickets are only at P200.
Jun Robles Lana's Ang Babaeng Allergic sa Wi-Fi is about Norma (Sue Ramirez), a social-media-addicted teenager. She finds out that she has "electromagnetic hypersensitivity"—which basically means she's allergic to Wi-Fi. She tries to maintain her relationship with her boyfriend but it's her best friend (Jameson Blake) who keeps her company.
We Will Not Die Tonight, directed by Richard Somes, premiered at the New York Asian Film Festival in June. It stars Erich Gonzales as a stuntwoman named Kray who gets into a life of crime and violence to score some money.
In Jason Paul Laxamana's Bakwit Boys, four talented brothers (Nikko Natividad, Vance Larena, Ryle Santiago, and Mackie Empuerto) are discovered by a rich city girl (Devon Seron) who wants to make their musician dreams come true.
