This Critically Acclaimed French Horror Film Is Screening in October

Climax is the latest work of the award-winning director Gaspar Noé.

( Another film festival means there are new Pinoy movies coming your way. Sometimes, it also means that there will be screenings of critically acclaimed works from other countries—which is always great news. One of the films that will be screened at the QCinema International Film Festival that's happening from October 21 to 30 is Climax, a French horror musical that was directed, written, edited, and produced by the award-winning Gaspar Noé. It premiered at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in May where it won the Art Cinema Award.

The film, which stars Sofia Boutella (Kingsman: The Secret Service, Star Trek Beyond, The Mummy), follows a group of hip-hop dancers. They're busy rehearsing at their empty school on a winter night. Things start to get freaky when they go out of their minds after consuming a drink laced with LSD.

It's not the first time that the QCinema International Film Festival has screened Gaspar Noé's films. In 2015, they also screened 2002's Irréversible, 2009's Enter Void, and 2015's Love. There's no word yet on the exact date and time of the screenings of the film, so best to stay tuned for more updates.
